GUILD HOUSE
The Grand Topal Hideaway Island is the location of our Guild House. Thanks to a donation by Wyt3Rabbit, we were able to purchase this location as our Guild Home. Everyone is welcome to visit the Guild House anytime; just select Randall Frost in the guild roster, select Visit Primary Residence, and you will transport there.
The Guild House is equipped with the following stations; provisioning, enchanting, alchemy, dye, clothing, woodworking, and blacksmith. The blacksmith is also attuned with the Master Armor trait. You can find these stations in or near the gazebo as you head up the walk towards the main buildings.
There is a banker and merchant for your personal needs. On the beach we have multiple target dummies to practice on; a standard skeleton, a robust skeleton, and a robust trials centurion. The first building is the Guild's Club House where you can mingle, drink, etc. The main building is the Officer's Hall where the EC, HC, and Ambassadors will have their meetings. Around the corner, across the bridge, you will find Randall Frost's office where I conduct Guild business. We also have a series of torture equipment to inflict upon those deserving and the toaded. Lol!
And we're not done. This is your Guild House and we need your input and help. What do you want on the Island? Just reach out to any of our officers with suggestions and we'll talk it over to make it happen if possible.
If you wish to help furnish the Island; please contact Lemon405 or Ariel35611. They are the Island decorators and the ones to run furnishing ideas by. (Space is limited, sorry I don't have Plus but there is still plenty of room) If you wish to help with furnishing more attuned stations; we need master writ donations. Knalei is in charge of that; please send to her any master writs you wish to donate and we'll save up the vouchers for the next attuned station. Most master writs require yellow improvements; any donations of those mats are greatly appreciated. Please send those to Knalei as well. If you wish to donate gold, that is also appreciated. Guild gold is helping to offset the cost of those high end mats needed to craft master writs.
Thank you for being a member of the Obsidian Guard. We all hope you enjoy your Guild Island. Please feel free to visit anytime. [Edit Text]

OG EVENTS
The officers of the guild have been hard at work behind the scenes coming up with a new guild event schedule. We are striving to create more meaningful content within the guild events that anyone and everyone is welcome to join in. These are all CASUAL events! Each officer in the guild will be hosting their own event, once every 2 weeks.
The schedule will be set in 2 week blocks. Social PvP and Trial runs will have a set rotating schedule. Check #og-eso-trials for social Trial signups. Sundays are reserved for the Trials team (Order of Obsidian). Check #og-guild-events for a daily post for the day’s event.
There is a forum on the website, ‘Recent Guild Events’ where officers will post a quick recap of each event and who attended. Below is the link to the calendar of events. It is set for the next 2 weeks. In the future, the calendar will automatically update as events are sign uped for, so check back often. All times are EST. http://tinyurl.com/OGEventsCalendar

CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISM
Thoughts on Constructive Criticism Almost everyone who plays or has played a sport has received constructive criticism. A batter who was struggling to make solid contact is told by the coach to keep her elbow high. By hearing that suggestion and trying to carry it out the hitter’s swing is leveled out. This allows her to hit the ball more squarely and transfer more energy to the ball while maintaining a flatter trajectory resulting in an extra base hit. Especially in our adult lives. When we leave the field of play we lose a vital perspective on our interactions with others. People who offer us criticisms are generally trying to be on our team. They are trying to help. When we take away the coach’s hat constructive criticism is often misconstrued as an attack or an insult. When someone gives you constructive criticism it’s generally our first instinct to become embarrassed or even defensive. It’s essential before you react, or overreact to understand that this is not an attack on you as a person or even as a player. Take a deep breath and have an open mind. Constructive criticism is not an insult; it’s an attempt to help you find a different (hopefully easier / more effective) path to your objectives. Don’t take it personally. If someone approaches you with constructive criticism they are indicating that they believe you have the potential to hear what they are suggesting and that you are capable of putting their observations to work for your benefit. Try and remember that there is a difference between a reprimand and constructive criticism. Generally speaking a reprimand comes when the person speaking believes that you had an opportunity to know in advance what was expected of you and reprimands are typically accompanied by consequences. If you can remove defensiveness from the situation, you have the opportunity to truly listen to what is being asked of you and why. Listen attentively don’t jump to conclusions and don’t start preparing any counterpoints, instead pay attention and learn from what is being offered. If you don’t understand exactly what is being asked or how to carry the advice forward ask specific questions. If possible show that you were listening by reiterating the concepts you did understand. If you are dedicated to improving having an outsider’s perspective can be an invaluable tool. When someone takes an interest in helping you to grow as a player you can show them that you appreciate their help by first taking their advice and then following up to share how you implemented change and what impact that change has had. You might say, “I started animation cancelling my Bombard with a bar swap and now I have enough time to weave in a heavy attack while I still have my major brutality buff. I notice that I’m doing more damage and now my ultimate seems to be ready more frequently.” Since the person providing advice was trying to help you, your acknowledgement that their advice worked is just the reward for which they were looking. It’s also a good idea to say thank you. Ultimately, receiving constructive criticism is not about acquiescing to someone else’s way of doing something. Instead it should be a way that two people can work together to find their new way of doing something.

ACTIVE POLICY
A 3 Month Cap on activity is in effect. This means as long as you appear “ONLINE” in game once within a 3 month time span, your spot will be saved. Anyone that has not been in game 4 months or longer will be removed. To keep this guild fresh and active; it is important to rotate those less active out to bring new active members in. However; I know Real Life happens. For anyone who will be away from the game for more than 3 months and wish their spot saved, just message me and I will hold it for you. In case you are removed and wish to rejoin, no worries. Again just message and an invite will be sent. If you are a retired officer or have contacted me already; no worries, your spot has already been saved. Thank you for your cooperation and being a member of the OG. MISC GUILD NEWS
2nd ANNIVERSARY: July is almost here! That's right; the OG's is about to celebrate it's 2nd anniversary. Hard to believe this guild will have been around for 2 years. We will be planning a few special events throughout the month of July in celebration for this occasion.
HOMESTEAD: You can now buy homes across Tamriel, including Morrowind. Make sure to check every type of container out there for the new decorating blueprints and every node for mats.
MORROWIND: It has arrived! The return to Vvardenfell has gone relatively smooth. Despite a Day 1 server shutdown; the games' stability has been remarkable. Yes, there is the standard dc'ing and random load screen, but for the most part it's been good. The return to the Island and the soundtrack has brought back many memories of TES III Morrowind. I've traveled all over the island and the landmarks are there. Yes; Vvardenfell is smaller that TES III. That was a given seeing how they shrunk eastern Skyrim with Eastmarch and the Rift. But what's there is amazing and I look forward to exploring the new Morrowind. GUILD TABARD: We do have a guild tabard. It is located in our guild store; which is accesssible from any city banker. It was recently updated by Ryu Levone and is far superior than the original. Please buy one and represent the Obsidian Guard in Tamriel.
LANGUAGE: Language has been brought up to the EC recently. Please refer to the chat guidlines below. While this is a mature game with mature players; I understand the language used and use it myself. However, we need to remember that we are not alone in chat. While many won't mind the talk, others might. Please, be courteous to others.

WATERMELON
The word 'watermelon' is our clear comms code word. If someone says 'watermelon' please stop talking, and allow the person to ask their question or say what they need to say. Likewise! If you have an important question or announcement, simply shout 'watermelon!' and comms should quiet down. [Edit Text]
GUILD CHAT GUIDELINE
We will NOT tolerate any malicious and degrading conduct from our guild members toward any gender, culture, belief system, lifestyle, etc.. Please be informed of our rules and check out the Voice Chat Guidelines under the Guild Guidelines in the NEW PLAYERS website forum.
Guild Chat includes both in-game voice chat and on discord. As a member of this guild, remember that you have the right to speak up and remind someone that they might be in breach of Guild rules.
As always, if there’s something or someone that’s bothering you, please let one of the ambassadors (or Elder Council) know before it escalates and thank you!<!--EndFragment-->[Edit Text]
